Update 13th March 1:00 pm

Dear Parents,

Although we were greeted to a sad sight this morning with an empty school and no happy children, it also proves that everyone is taking the situation seriously. So, thank you very much for the support in keeping your children at home and for all the positive comments we have received for the school’s handling of the situation.

At Skt. Josef’s School we will continue with the emergency preparation, where we will again ask you to sign up if your child comes to school next week.
Please note the emergency preparation should only be used when absolutely necessary!

If you have the need to use the emergency care, please notify Dom Maher on DM@sjs-roskilde.dk – but ONLY if you have an actual need.

Many students have books lying in the classrooms that they would like to have at home. It is therefore possible to come by the school next week, where we will be open for picking up books every weekday between 8:00 am to noon.
Please come to the administration where we will assist you.

If you have any questions regarding distance education efforts, please direct them to your children’s teachers via intra or mail.

Also, in the next two weeks we will cancel all events at the school. E.g. if your child’s class have borrowed ‘Fællessalen’, the event cannot be held.

Corona virus is a big part of our lives right now, and many children and young people are worried about the whole situation.
It is therefore important that we remember to talk to them about it. The National Board of Health has, in collaboration with ‘Børns Vilkår’, created films that can help both children and young people get answers to their questions, as well as helping parents on how to communicate with their children about the situation.
Unfortunately, the films are only in Danish, but we hope you can find someone to help you translate if needed.

This film is for the children; ‘For those of you who want to know more about the new Corona virus’

Childcare consultant, Ida Hilario Jønsson from ‘Børns Vilkår’ gives good advice and facts about the new Corona virus.

Take care of yourself and each other.
