Update 12th March 1:00 pm

Dear Parents,

It is truly sad, but unfortunately necessary to close the school for the next 14 days. Especially because we know that many of the children are scared and insecure about what they read and heard in the mass media coverage of the national and international health crises we are experiencing. We would really like to use our educational expertise to talk to the children about what they see and hear to help them at this time.
I would therefore urge all parents and adults to consider how they will talk to their children in the coming period about the Corona Virus and the challenges in society that may follow in the wake of the crisis.
The children know more about it than you might think, so give yourself time to listen and explain to them what they might need to know.

Skt. Josef’s School will have emergency openings for the children of parents who have no other options, and we will try to comply with all the procedures given by the authorities in relation to hygiene, distance, etc.
In relation to the emergency preparedness, it is important that you report to us if you need emergency care for your child. This is important because we place staff according to the information we receive.

If you have the need to use the emergency care, please notify Dom Maher on DM@sjs-roskilde.dk – but ONLY if you have an actual need.

All the teachers spent today coordination distance learning efforts and it is important that you help your child stay updated on their digital platforms and with the schoolwork they will be provided with in the coming time.

If there are any questions or doubt about the schoolwork, you and/or your child should contact their teachers as normal.

I will be communication on the school’s website, Parentintra, and the school’s Facebook page when there is important information.

Take good care of yourself and have the right mindset for everyone in your surroundings.

Warmest regards in a difficult time
