Physical Education from January 5th. 2022

Dear Students and Parents,

We at Skt. Josef's School look forward to receiving students from tomorrow, January 5th. We have now received updated guidelines on the resumption of physical education.

This means the following:

1. If your child is ill or has symptoms of COVID-19, it is very important that you keep your child at home and follow the health authorities' guidelines on testing.

2. Today, Roskilde Municipality has delivered a self-test kit for each student, which the students will bring home tomorrow, January 5th. In addition to this, Roskilde Municipality's test team will continue to test once a week, but now on Fridays, the first time on January 7. We do not yet know when we will receive the next supply of self-test kits that students can bring home. We'll write it out as soon as it's settled.

3. The school strives to create as normal a daily life as possible, but where the students generally receive instruction and take breaks with their own class. This means that electives are suspended for a period of time. These are the following subjects and classes:

STEM, Theme Day, talent lines, Skills, Project X (International), school choir and band. You will receive separate information on how this teaching is organised or rescheduled.

Sport and language subjects continue as before, as they are not electives.

4. At the entrance to the school's grounds, guests or visitors must wear face masks

5. Drop-off of students in school and SFO takes place outdoors.

6. The school canteen is closed this week - we open the school canteen from week 2, January 10 with outdoor queuing facilities.

7. Social events across classes have been cancelled for the time being.

In case of extensive illness and self-isolation among staff, teaching may be cancelled or rescheduled if we cannot ensure proper supervision of the students.

School days will run a little differently for the next period of time, and together we will create a good schooling and everyday life for the students.

Regards,
Mads Frost, principal
